The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) elected its new executive board for the next two years. The election took place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held last night at the Manhattan Business Hotel.
The association proudly re-elected Mr. AbdullaGhiyas as its President, continuing his leadership for another term. Joining him on the executive board again as the Vice Presidents are Mr. Mohamed Khaleel and Mr. Mohamed Shaaz (Waleed).

During the AGM, MATATO also presented its 2024 Annual Report and a highlight video, showcasing the achievements and milestones from the past year. An exciting development was the presentation by the MATATO Student Chapter's Interim Steering Committee, outlining their ambitious plans for 2025. This presentation was delivered by Ms. Kausar Abdul Ghany, the Interim President of the Student Chapter, reflecting MATATO's focus on nurturing future leaders in the Maldives' travel and tourism sector.
The event also marked the launch of MATATO'srevamped logo and website. The website was launched by the Honorable Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ibrahim Faisal. These updates highlight MATATO's dedication to innovation and its commitment to driving growth and excellence in the Maldives' tourism industry.
